Babessi council strategy development plan is aligned with Cameroon vision 20302030 national development strategy.focusing on local governance and decentralization.the plan encompasses various sector including agriculture, health care and infrastructural development
Key objective
. improve agricultural productivity and livelihood
. develop infrastructure,water and road
. promote local economic
To achieve these objective.the council has outline several strategies such as
. investment in agricultural extension services.
. Constructing and rehabilitation of road
. enhancing transparency
How ever a critical evaluation of plans progress revealed some challenges and areas for improvement for instance
. limited financial resources and decency of external fund
Insufficient capacity building
Slow space infrastructure
Despite these challenges the council haS made some progress in implementating it’s development plan for example the co construction of center for education and Community development and fish projects funded by public investment budget
In conclusion while Babessi council strategy development plan objective is hindered by several challenges, addressing these challenges and enhancing community participation, capacity building will achieve sustainable development
